MEET MS. CANTU

Laura Cantu is the CEO and Owner of Soaring Scholars and students refer to her as Ms. Cantu. She is originally born and raised in Mexico, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. She then moved to the United States at age 23, and received her MBA with an emphasis in International Business.

When she started a family, she decided to get 2 Texas Teaching Certifications in Bilingual Education (Generalist EC-4th Bilingual) and Secondary Spanish (Grades 6-12). She taught Kinder - 4th grade at a Public Elementary School for 20+ years and even won Educator of the year in 2014 among other nominations and recognitions.

It was through her own struggles learning a 2nd language that she developed a passion for Bilingual Education. She receives students of all ages with open arms and is able to empathize with them as she relates to their own experiences and goals to be bi-literate.

Now a retired Bilingual Educator, after 20+ years of teaching, raising her two daughters, and becoming an Abuela to her granddaughter, she dedicates herself to this effective business in which she meets students where they are and launches them to soar to higher heights through the many services she offers.
